“Submarine base throws out $2.5 million of stock”
Update on Corrosion removal by EVAPORUST
14/08/2011
We are well on the way to having this installation up and running. The tank will be reinforced HDPE in a steel cage, 6.2m long by 3m wide and 1.2m deep.
At this stage the ETA on being operational is approx 4 weeks.
The facility will be in Mackay and will be utilized by Engineered Surface Preparations.
The mining fraternity have asked for all stored items to be coated in Enviropeel before going into storage. This is due to a high mortality rate on stored items being contaminated with rust when taken from stock. The process needs precision cleaning, so Evapo-Rust has been approved for this application.
The tank will also facilitate contract de-rusting on a large scale to commercial engineering. 8 large companies have already approved the facility.
At this stage this will be the first of six sites in the Queensland area alone, so we are hoping the results will flow through to mining and industry in our other areas.
The submarine base nearly choked when they were informed of the facility. They just threw out 2.5million dollars worth of stock they deemed too labour intensive to de-rust. This is only one case I am aware of to date.
As we progress, I will forward photo’s and info on the complete set-up.
Rust removal without the acid!
